The Smithsonian Resident Associate Program offers many great events and courses throughout the year. Here are some photography classes that caught my eye:
The Nature of Photographic Composition - Wednesdays from 6:30-9:00pm. Oct. 14 - Dec. 9. 8 sessions for $205 (member price) or $251 (nonmembers).
On-Location Photography - Sundays from 1:30-4:30pm. Oct. 18 - Dec. 13. 8 sessions for $205 (member price) or $251 (nonmembers).
Introduction to Studio Portraiture - Mondays from 6:30-9:30pm. Oct. 19 - Dec. 7. 8 sessions for $220 (member price) or $266 (nonmembers).
Photo Trekking - Orientation on Oct. 20 from 6:30-9:30pm + 5 Full-Day Hikes every Sunday between Oct. 25 and Nov. 22 + Final Critique on Dec. 8 from 6:30-9:30pm. $335 for members, $381 for nonmembers.
