Pear poached in red wine (Syrah from Chile) with sugar, cloves, cinnamon and fresh ginger. Topped with vanilla ice cream.
One of the 3 desserts my girlfriend and I concocted over Thanksgiving. I prepared this one and she made carrot cake and pumpkin pie in phyllo pastry.
