I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been accepted into the 2013 Code for America Fellowship program! I can’t wait to get started in January. I just came back from this year’s very inspirational Code for America Summit in San Francisco.

Most of the videos from the Summit are available on Code for America’s channel on YouTube. The one above features a fascinating discussion about innovation in government with Todd Park, the CTO of the US, and Tim O’Reilly.

I was also quite impressed by the projects and apps the 2012 Fellows built. Here are a few of them:

All of these apps are open source and available on the Code for America GitHub account.

I also recommend watching Jennifer Pahlka’s TEDTalk on coding a better government.
