Quicksilver for Mac is back! 

Love this app. I use it every day. Here are some of the numerous actions it allows you to perform with amazing speed:

  • launch apps and system preference panes
  • browse and play songs in your iTunes library
  • send an email without opening your default Mail app
  • open files without using the Finder
  • move files to folders sans the Finder
  • update text files without opening any text editor
  • access past clipboard items
  • lookup an address book entry
  • call a friend on Skype
  • resize an image
  • open an URL
  • see a list of all links on a web page
  • search various sites (amazon, wiki, google, netflix, etc.)
  • add an event to iCal or Google Calendar

When I find the time, I’ll put together a screencast for you. Writing about it will never beat showing you how it works.

  1. gene-r-smith said: You know I just deleted Quicksilver from my machine the other day after using it for a few years and am now using Alfred (alfredapp.com). I may end up using Quick again at some point — I always seem to come back to Quick.
