I don’t know most of the artists featured, but I did find this great concert by the Ron Paley Trio. It’s a tribute to Oscar Peterson, a Canadian jazz pianist (one of my favorites) who sadly passed away on December 23, 2007. Playing alongside Ron Paley (piano) are two former members of Oscar Peterson’s trio: Dave Young (bass) and Terry Clarke (drums).
What I love about the Concerts On Demand section of the CBC site is the level of detail. Each concert includes a full track listing, detailed descriptions, photos, credits, links to artist sites, and best of all, the ability to listen to each track individually.
